Saber's Armour for Skyrim [EDIT]

Description

Here it is! My first ever effort at custom Skyrim content :iconrdthismuchplz:

NOTE: This is a modification of an existing armour-set made by Fizban007 over at the Nexus Forums.

I claim no authorship to the models used in this mod, but the textures, texture maps, and bump maps are my own

So! Ta da! This is what I've been working on for the past two days.

One of the things that I've always enjoyed about Skyrim is the character customisation. But I never really found a set of armour that offered decent protection, and looked good on my female character (I'm not into all that skimpy, unrealistic armoured bikini rubbish).

Finally I ran across Fizban's armour set, but after installing it, noticed that it looked rather flat and cell-shaded, compared to the rest of Skyrim's rich gritty visual design.

So after 7 hours of work or so I present to you an updated version of Saber's armour from the anime series Fate/Stay Night.

PICS! :icondashishappyplz: - [link]

I completely redid the textures, adding weathering, dirt, scratches and upping the resolution slightly.

I also added some new shader maps for the metal armour, which looked rather flat and unrealistic.

And I created some custom bump-maps for the dress and bodice, so that they look more realistic under ENB's lighting mod.

The armour comes in four parts:

- Saber's dress, which counts as a peice of armour, but is light enough to be worn as regular clothing.
- Saber's Gauntlets
- Saber's Armour - which adds the breastplate, cuisses and habergeon
- Saber's Boots - which adds the greaves and Solleret's

The dress is classed as 'Glass Armour' while the rest is 'Deadric' - so you'll need a fair amount of ebony ingots to craft it.

Installation:

Simply download the archive. Unzip it, open the folder inside, and copy the "Data" folder across to your Skyrim folder, overwriting the original.

Uninstallation is a bit trickier, either restore a back-up of your Data folder, or else search through the folder, and delete the files individually.
